Badge

Show your AX score

An Agent Experience badge is a small live image that states the AX score of one host and links to the report behind it. It renders from the latest public scan rather than from a number you pasted in, so it improves the moment you do and there is nothing to keep up to date.

What is the badge for?

Mostly for developer audiences, where it does the same job a build badge does: it says a number exists, that somebody else produced it, and that the working can be checked. The link matters more than the image. Anybody can put a green rectangle in a README; a green rectangle that opens onto 70 checks, their weights and the evidence behind each one is an argument.

How do I add one?

  1. Scan the page, and take the badge off the report. Every report offers its own badge, at /badge/r/<report id>.svg. That one needs no account, no DNS record and no listing, because a report id is unguessable — holding one is already the proof of access the report link relies on. It is the badge almost everybody wants.
  2. Copy the snippet for wherever it is going. Markdown for a README, HTML for a site footer. Both point the image at the live badge and the link at the full report, which is the half that does the persuading — a number on its own invites the question of who says so.
  3. Leave it alone. The badge is rendered on request from the latest public scan, so it rises when your score does and there is nothing to regenerate. If the score falls, it falls in public, which is the point of publishing it.

There are two badges and they are not the same thing. The one on your report is addressed by report id, works immediately and lists you nowhere. The one addressed by hostname — the snippets on this page — reads from the public AX Index, so it says “not scanned” until somebody proves they control the domain and asks to be listed. That gate is deliberate: a badge you can address by hostname is a score lookup by hostname, and typing a competitor’s domain into an image URL is exactly what the opt-in exists to prevent.

What does it show if you have never scanned my site?

It says so, in the badge itself, and the link runs a fresh scan rather than showing a zero. A badge that reported a score for a host nobody had measured would be worse than no badge: it would be a number with nothing behind it, which is the thing this whole product exists to argue against.

Can I take it down?

Remove the snippet, and remove the host from the AX Index from your dashboard if you would rather the score were not public at all. Listing is something an owner asks for and can withdraw; scanning a page never publishes anything about it.
